ALRAD Autumn Conference This week saw our first Autumn Conference titled 'Embedded, AI and Deep Learning in Innovative Imaging', The event was kindly hosted by The Bristol Robotics Laboratory and Centre for Machine Vision and was supported by NVIDIA and our partners The Imaging Source, Bluevision, Datalogic, Observant Innovations and Jadak. The keynote speech by NVIDIA focused on AI Solutions, the rise of GPU Computing and the Jetson family of modules and development kits and their use in embedded vision. The Imaging Source presented their multiple camera systems with MIPI sensor modules coupled with the TIS FPD-Link III system and NVIDIA Jetson platforms. Bluevision presented their range of UV, Visible, NIR and SWIR Prism Spectroscopic cameras and we had an exciting presentation from Observant Innovations on their INSPECT portable high resolution non-contact digital inspection and measurement system, MONITOR CAMERA and REVIEW applications. Datalogic supported the conference with an overview of smart camera systems and their P,A and T series of stand-alone smart camera systems.
