NEW Software Development Kit for NVIDIA Jetson Nano

ALRAD is pleased to present the latest Software Development Kit for the NVIDIA Jetson NANO platform provided byThe Imaging Source.

The new MIPI / FPD link cameras and NVIDIA Jetson Nano SDK now enable the rapid development of embedded vision and AI projects. The NVIDIA Jetson Nano is a small, low-cost, high-performance SoM (system-on-module) with an image signal processor (ISP) and two MIPI/CSI-2 camera interfaces which can run multiple neural networks in parallel via its CUDA cores. NVIDIA and MVTec’s pre-trained neural networks enable a wide range of object recognition tasks; other typical machine vision tasks can be performed using MVTec’s machine vision library, HALCON. As a rule, MIPI/CSI-2 systems are limited to cable lengths of about 20 cm. The Imaging Source, however, offers a FPD-Link III bridge solution consisting of a camera-side serializer board and a NVIDIA Nano-side deserializer board which enables cable lengths of up to 15 m. Image data transmission, communication and power supply are provided via a thin, space-saving coaxial cable. The Imaging Source supports the NVIDIA platform with MIPI / FPD-Link III drivers and a Linux SDK.
