A Thermal Camera for the most demanding applications

The WIRIS ProSc is a thermal imaging camera designed for the most demanding applications. Its precision is evident in the orthothermogram on the left, which is composed of 1500 separate thermograms, each of which were acquired by the Workswell WIRIS ProSc and composed in Pix4Dmapper software. The orthothermogram maps an area of approximately 5 hectares (50,000m2) and was taken by a drone during two separate flights, with a flight time of 50 minutes, from a height of 70m.

🌦 Both water and plant management influence the local microclimate. By draining and removing greenery over large expanses, people induce desert climates, especially around cities and fields, which cannot be resolved through the application of purely technical remedies. In this image, one can clearly identify the places from which landscape drought and its consequent loss of vegetation are emanating. We can see that the naked hill on the right above the vineyard, which has been impacted by intense soil erosion, warms its surroundings, and that the effects of this heat reach into the vineyard.

🌳On the other hand, the vegetation to the left of the vineyard has a cooling effect, even in its immediate vicinity, which also penetrates into the vineyard, which covers an area of approximately 2 ha. The picture indicates what remedial action should be taken, and where it will be easiest to start restoring vegetation.

🌿 We believe that the Workswell WIRIS ProSc enhances land management. With its help, it is possible to localize, visualize and reverse local problems, even when they are considered to be irreversible manifestations of global processes. Each WIRIS ProSc is precisely calibrated in our climatic chamber. This doesn’t just ensure the accuracy of the thermal camera as it measures different temperatures – it underwrites precision at a wide variety of operating temperatures. We have achieved absolutely unmatched measurement accuracy in the field of aerial thermography, ti. +-2°C or +-2% (+-3.6°F).

Many aerial applications of thermography have non-standard requirements, such as high temperature measurements. That’s why we designed the WIRIS ProSc thermal camera to deliver temperature measurements of up to 1500° C when equipped with an external filter.

The Workswell WIRIS ProSc is primarily designed for research and development. That’s why the WIRIS ProSC kit includes the CorePlayer SDK for custom application development, which has a volume license for 5 users. These libraries give access to low-level functionalities and enable the application developer to fully maximize the potential of the camera’s hardware.

The Workswell WIRIS® ProSc also offers an interface enabling the widest range of connections to the drone, the control unit, an external GPS sensor, and other instruments. A Wi-Fi low latency live video streaming and command link is also available. The following HW interfaces are available:

The WIRIS Pro Sc thermal imaging camera can be purchased with an 18°, 32°, 45° or 69° lens. However, the lenses are user-interchangeable at any time, and the camera can be supplied with additional lenses as accessories. Each lens is calibrated separately.

The WIRIS OS has been in development for over 4 years, and we have tested it on each of the previous generations of the Workswell WIRIS® cameras. This OS allows you to maximize the full potential of the camera’s sensor and computing hardware, and enjoy functionalities that similar products without an operating system cannot even approach.
